Transfer
Transfer molding is a way of using a larger amount of rubber, or a large pre-form and making a feed system from one part of the tool, to a cavity made to the shape of the part to be made.
When the tool is closed under pressure, the material is injected into the cavity.
This helps produce heat into the material, reducing cycle times and allowing better tolerances for closure.
Transfer tooling can produce additional scrap left in the transfer process.
